Classrom Theme Linky Party

Classroom Theme...Hmm...This will be something NEW to me! I've NEVER had a theme in my classroom. I've always thought it would be to much extra work AND money to properly use a theme for my classroom throughout the whole year. But here I am stalking teacher blog world and EVERYONE is using a theme. Now I feel like "if all yall can do it, I know I can too!" But I don't have a CLUE about where to start, so I'm going to start a little linky party where you can link all of your wonderful ideas and pictures. I'm sure with your help I'm be able to pick a theme that is doable for my first theme classroom.

Sidenote: I'm totally thinking about doing a dot theme! Let me know what you think.

LOVE the dot theme idea! I have a bulletin board idea for you...."spotting great work!" I used it when I had my ladybug bulletin board :)

I have a ladybug/dot themed classroom and I love it! I have a board that says, "Look who's been spotted in kindergarten!" and I put everyone's names on that board for the beginning of the year. Above the calendar I put letters that say, "The Meeting Spot." It's a great theme!

I used the racing/racecar theme a few years ago. I did my behavior chart with "On Track with Good Behavior" green for go, yellow for caution, red for stop. I called my helpers the "Pit Crew". I went all out, and carried the theme all year long. I began the year with "Racing Into Second Grade", you can get race cars, or cars from many different places, I think mine were from Carson Dellosa, I even got magnetic cars and a lunch order poster from Really Good Stuff co. Today was my last day of this school year, so I need to decompress before I choose my next theme. Good luck, it's fun to play with themes!
