It's kind of similar, but I use Publisher instead... Good luck! Can't wait to see what you've got cookin' up!

I use publisher. Then save it as a PDF file.

I totally know how you feel. It's like, "How in the world can these ladies make 60+ page units every other week?" I made ONE center and it took me over 3 hours for a three page Word document. The clipart would disappear and then come back, and I couldn't move it to the spots I wanted it on the page. I was SO frustrated!
Then, I went back and read Cara's blog (I think it was a November post) and she said she used PowerPoint. So on my next attempt to create something, I tried it out with PowerPoint and it was MUCH easier to use! It still took me some time, but at least I don't want to throw my laptop out the window.
I hope this helps!!

I am totally new to blogging but have been making things for years - I hate word! I use PrintMaster and PrintShop - once you get used to them, it is so easy. Opening text boxes which move in a flash - layers, easy and adding pictures is not a problem. Hope that helps - I have both for my MAC and were not expensive.

Thanks for all the great advice. I'm going to take a look at Cara's post right now! My Spring Break isn't until April 18th but I'll be using that time to figure this all out, so I can start to share my ideas with you guys!

Hey y'all!!! YES...Power Point is the way to go!!! I haven't used Word...not even for sub plans!!...in about 5 years! I use Power Point for EVERYTHING!!! Once you get the hang of it, you'll FLY through creating files and all that :) I love it!! I know a lot of girls use Word and do so beautifully, but I was experiencing the SAME dang problems that y'all are. SO frustrating. SO...I converted to PP and never looked back ;) Good luck to you!!!
Happy {almost} hump day!

I agree with Cara! I love powerpoint. I use text boxes and if you double click them, you can change them to "in front of text" or "behind text" if you want them to go over pictures.

I still use Word for some things. :)

I do love powerpoint! You can change powerpoints layouts too if you want to do it "hot dog" or "hamburger" way if you know what I mean! Just go to file, page set up. :)

good luck!!!!

I LOVE publisher...you can do most of what the others are doing in PP and then you can save it as a PDF so fonts don't get messed up. It's a lot easier to use publisher or PP because you can layer/group/etc. so much faster!

I tried word too and for the longest time could not figure out how to make the text go where I wanted it! PPT is SOOOOO much easier!

I've been using Word and I just insert text boxes and change my pictures to "tight" so I can move them around and place them where I want them. I will be trying out PP and seeing what I can do with that.

WOW! I love all the advice and feedback on here!! I've been trudging through Word. I'm excited to take this hobby over to pp.
There are so many of you out there with such amazing stuff to share. The awesome things for sale on TpT are so one of a kind!
